  • Doing Great!

Hey Out There! Just wanted to update you how I'm doing. I officially ended my induction on July 31, 2009 and was down 13.8 lbs. It feels good! I have been following the atkins plan to a T. Using fitday to track my fat, protein and carb content. Drinking plenty of water and taking supplements. I have also been hitting up the gym again running 3-4x/week. I have not noticed many changes physically other then the scale going down. It doesn't really bother me yet. I'm also NOT getting bored with my menu although I do eat the same for b-fast, lunch, and dinner each day. I do work full-time so it's hard to be in the kitchen. In the morning I usually have 2 eggs with a slice of cheddar cheese and 2 sausage links. I usually pack a salad with 3 cups of lettuce 2 boneless/skinless chicken strips prepared beforehand, a hardboiled egg and some caeser dressing (the caeser scares me a bit because it's commercially prepared, but it only says 2 net carbs for 2 tbsp??? suggestions???) - pretty easy to whip up in a crunch time. I need to start being more creative! Any suggestions?

here is a link to Linda's recipe site: Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Daily Menus
    http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...r-tonight.html.

You say what you eat everyday for breakfast and lunch....what do you have for dinner? You might want to add some veggies to breakfast and dinner -- not eating them all at one time.

Congrats on the loss so far!

      Re: Doing Great!

FOr dinner tonight I had beef and broccoli stir fry!
      1 Tbsp. Olive Oil/Butter
      1 Clove of Garlic (minced)
      1 Slice of Onion (minced)
2 center round cut steaks cut into strips
      1/2 Cup of Broccoli!

      Tasted Awesome

Other Nights when I've split up my veggie intake I'll have a crispy chicken salad made with chicken strips breaded with parmesan cheese and fried in oil topped on a salad with regular ranch dressing! Also Great!!!

I've also tried Plain boring Pork Chops (would like for a great sauce to put on top)
& chicken stuffed with herb cream cheese filling!!!!

Would love more low carb suggestions though!
