Today is day 8 for me. I have only lost about a pound and a half. Although I know I am retaining some water, my rings are tight, I don't know why. I've been drinking a lot of water. This is not my first time on Atkins. I've had great success twice in the past. Has my body become immune to this or what??

Reason: wanted to add congrats
However, my weight loss seems to stop since day 7, don't know what's the problem, maybe we should measure ourself instead of weighing? Anyway, hang in there and our hardwork definitely will be rewarded! Good luck~

Hi,
I have lost 21# and my rings were much looser lately, but today they were tight for me, too. I am in "Chicagoland" as well and I believe it may be the high humidity we have today.
I'm such a slave to the number on the scale (I weigh every day) that I've learned that for me my body goes through a certain pattern with weight loss. I'll stay the same for days or even gain a pound or two, then I'll go a week where I'm losing like a half a pound a day.
We know this is for the long term. I've averaged about 2-3 pounds per week. It's much better when I look at the progress over time as opposed to day to day.
Great job getting yourselves going!

I guess I'm just looking for that immediate gratification that came with this diet the first and second time. I lost about 12-14 pound in the two week induction period. I weighed myself today, Day nine and it looks like my total loss is now down to only a pound! Although I could not even fit my wedding band on my finger... I must be getting too much sodium. It seems to be everywhere. I love to pick up a roasted chicken at the grocery store, but now I'm wondering how much sodium they have??? And what about olives?
