    Re: Too many years ...

My DH called me, feeling awful and full of regrets....

He was out meeting with a client, it was lunch time, client asked his assistant to go buy food, asked my husband what he wanted from ??!!?McDonalds!?!?! (Which is the closest place)

He "tried" to stay healthy by eating nuggets & diet coke. ( Of course I said "why didn't you order a salad", to which he replied, "" I didn't know they had salads at McDonalds"")

Says that when he was eating he was feeling really guilty, and even worst when he saw the box and said its got 60g of carbs... When we're supposed to be eating less than 20g.

I'm writing about this, because I feel mad at him for eating that, we're supposed to be doing this together and I feel like he let us down by going and eating the biggest size of chicken nuggets at McD. He says he had no option as meeting was going to go as far as 3 or 4pm, and that he couldn't not eat.

    I'm mad.

Have you guys been doing atkins with someone else, and that someone jumped off the boat? How did it made you feel? Same as it made me feel??

      Re: Too many years ...

When we were just starting and my husband didn't have the same reaction to a piece of carrot that I did, I got angry at him.

After a while (maybe a year?), I realized that what anybody else eats is their business.

I also realized that being mad at him was useless ... he's a grown up and his choices are his own. He knows "the rules" ... and if he chooses to eat/drink something he shouldn't, then that's his problem.

Did your husband really "jump off the boat" or did he merely make a one time bad choice? Maybe this is a learning moment ... for him and for you.
