Everytime I weigh myself, I'm amazed at how the pounds are falling off. I'm a large framed guy, so my resting weight normally was around 200. But in the past few years I ballooned up to 280, so gradually I was shocked when I saw the scale. I've tried a few things to lose weight in the last year or so and none of them worked at all. I couldn't break 270 on my scale, because either the diet didn't work or it was unsustainable and I gave up.
But after I read GCBC, I started low carbing and it's been amazing. First mini goal was 279, then 269, now I'm 258 and falling. Everyday I'm lighter and feel better than the next day.
And other things too, that I want to hear about from your weight loss experience: my skin has gotten better. It was flaky and dry at 280lbs, now it's much better; I even had dandruff for the first time that recently has vanished. My awareness of my body - food needs and not food wants, exercise, water intake level, etc. - has increased dramatically. No more sugar highs and lows, I have a much higher energy level than before. I'm working at home and can sleep in and I was, but now I'm up every morning feeling refreshed and alert.
It's just amazing to finally KNOW that a diet is working and that it WILL KEEP working until I'm at my goal. There is not a doubt in my mind I'm going to meet or exceed my goal weight, and there shouldn't be in any of your minds, either!
