  • Yeah!!! I'm not losing muscle!!

Did anyone watch Dr. Phil yesterday 11/18/03? Remember the male weight loss participant that said he was losing muscle and the nutritionist let him know that he was supposed to eat more calories. I wanted to scream to the TV "TRY ATKIN'S!!"

I really don't understand why healthy people are even looking at other diets. Atkin's has changed my life, my husband's, my mother, my father, mother-in-law, friends....need I go on.

For those of you reading who are still sceptical...just keep reading this message and all the others at this site. The 20 net carbs is the part of this WOE that has helped me be successful with no side effects except less TOM (time of month) which is no complaint here.

I've been doing this WOE since ending of August 2003. I had a baby in Feb and he is now 9 months old. I now weigh less than I did before I got pregnant. 186/162/135 (was 170 before I became pregnant). I became VERY sick with the flu in Oct and went off the diet to drink diet Siera Mist and crackers (only things that would stay down), but other than that I've been cheat free. Recently I have had a BURST of energy!! I feel better at 30 than I ever did in my teens and early 20's. I'm so thankful for finding this web site. Thanks to all of you who have made it such a helpful support.

Also I would like to brag a little about my success. Our family goes out to eat almost every weekend. I'm proud to say that I've been ordering Atkin's healthy meals at resteraunts and not even cheating while the fries, bread, pancakes are right in front of me. If you knew me then you would be shocked to hear that because I LOVE food. My husband of 9 years is totally shocked!

Thanks to all of you who have helped me with your messages of encouragement and support. Hope that I can pass the encourage along!!

We do love to hear success stories, and it helps others to know that a person can do this WOE even eating out and having those bad carbs right in front of us and it is still possible to ignore them and stick to what we know is healthy.
