I'm sure someone has. What's possible for you might not be possible for everyone.

I've seen you on another board. I think you've asked this question about 20 times or so. Am I right?

      uhmm ok, that aside.

When I first started 2 years ago I was 223 and lost 62 pounds in about 8 months. But honestly, I think it was too fast for my body to handel. I'm slowing it way down this time around.

413 squats so far this month!

100lbs in 5 months- What a marvel!! What did she start out at? She is my hero. I only hope I can do half as well. I want to lose 60 lbs in the next 3 months and and additional 30lbs in the three months following that for a total of 90lbs in 6months. Does this seem like an unreasonable goal?

I have lost 50 in 6 months. The best advice I can give you is just do the plan and see what your body does. We are all different, lose differently, etc. It isn't unreasonable, but you just can't say I'm going to lose this much, in this amount of time. I have a goal, but no set time in reaching it. My body will get there when it's good and ready as long as I keep following the plan.

I was down to 175 in 2007 and I will get back there again!

Well this is a board for support\help, am I right?

I agree, I think it is possible. But it depends totally on your body and how its going to react to ATKINS. My mom did atkins a while back and lost 40 pounds each month, for the first 3. Thats amazing too me!

I think that if you just stick to the plan as DR. A advised and exercise when you shoud, drink lots of water, you'll get to your goal. But I also think that by the time you lose 50 or so, you might consider that goal. Who knows, 90lbs is alot no matter how much you weigh. But losing any amount of weight is better than not, right??? I'd go for it, if you work hard you can do this.

I'm sure she wasn't saying THIS is not a support board. As you can see she DID give her advice, but truthfully some people ask the same questions over and over and over again even when they receive the same answer.I've experienced that too on other boards.Eventually people just ignore them. But I wish I could lost 60pounds in 6months!!!!

Ok well I think that either way, she shouldnt respond like that. Its coming off as, she shouldnt ask questions. People who need help will get discouraged and give up, and thats not what ADBB is here for. It's nothing to argue about lots2lose, but in my opinion it could have been handled better.

She was pointing out a known fact, nothing wrong with that in my opinion. But needless to say I understand her statement.1 question asked a million ways will still get the same responses: "we are all not the same, but you can do it," "I know someone who was able to do it." blah blah blah. She wasn't even being mean about it.

                          Re: 90 lbs??????

I lost 100 pounds in 6 months, but I was nowhere near that thin! The smaller a person is, and the closer to goal that person is, the more difficult it is to lose a great amount of weight quickly.

The weight comes off if a body works for it, but if habits don't change, the effort is futile.

The goal isn't so important as the journey, and Atkins isn't-- and has never been-- a crash diet for quick results, so much as for a longer, healthier life for all who are blessed enough to experience the way it really changes us from the inside out!
