  • 8 Days

    After 8 days with no results, I am getting depressed. I am positive I am eating the correct foods and I can't shake a pound off my body. I know someone else said they waited 10 days but this is becoming ridiculous. I have even exercised 5 of the 8 days as well.......maybe this diet is not going to work with my body

    Hi.

    What are your "stats" (height, weight, weight goal, age, sex)? These things will help us determine what's going on.

          Also, make friends with the tape measure!!! You'd be amazed how many inches you can lose and the scale doesn't budge. Me and my tape measure are best friends, the scale is just "hey...how's it going? O.k bye." kinda thing.

            I have even exercised 5 of the 8 days as well.......maybe this diet is not going to work with my body Crying or Very sad
            Have you just started exercising? because going from nothing to 5 days in a row will cause your body to go into a loop and hold on to everything. I say wait until the 14 days is over then weigh to see where you are at.


            Also, post some food so we can see what you are eating and be honest.

            Oh and btw, how much water are you drinking?

              All I can say is "HANG IN THERE"! Give it another 8 days. Are you doing the Ketostix? That is what motivates me...when the strips turn purple...you are burning fat.

              About 6 months ago I started induction and had the same results...none...and I quit. I ended up gaining a ton of weight and now I'm worse off..but I got back on the horse and I found this site..which is wonderful! With all this support a person couldn't go wrong.

                You hit on a few points of why I am frustrated.........been exercising a lot, been on the treadmill in 5 of the 8 days for 40-50min and had exercised a little prior to all of this..........drinking water a lot, had no other beverage other than water and have to pee all the time.......and I did buy those ketone strips and its been in the small to moderate range since I bought them a couple days ago......It's either me or my menu which I will post some of my foods in the other section.

                  You are going to have to understand that being in ketosis is similair to being pregnant, althought totally different routes of getting there lol, they do share one common attribute. You are or you are not.

                  The shades of colors are how many ketones have been deposited in Urine. Most people who are exercising a good amount and drinking galons of water will have very little ketones register, most of the time.

                  Know to look for the other signs of ketosis, and measure, and weigh, but not that often.

                    Also
                    1) Try the ketostix to make sure you are getting into ketosis
                    2) Are you drinking enough water
                    3) Are you taking other supplements?
                    4) Are you still drinking caffeine?
                    5) Are you eating enough veggies?
                    6) How many calories are you taking in?
                    7) AND It’s only been 8 days, go and get the book, if you don’t already have it) and make sure you are following it correctly (no low-carb bars/shakes etc)
                    See if any of this makes a difference
