  • Flax and Induction

I know in the book it states we can have flax on induction but I think I am missing the part where it states how much.

I recieved my flax in the mail today ( so much cheaper to order online) and the label reads :

    Carbs: 2.5
    Fiber 4.4

Doesnt that just totally cancel out the carbs even putting them in the minus?
Meaning we can eat what we want of them.
Being careful not to eat to much to fast lol

    Thanks for the help!

Your flax is probably labelled the European way. So the "carbs" is the net carbs.

Flax amounts during Induction depends on its usuage. If you are using it for a daily fiber supplement, you are allowed 1 tablespoon daily. If you are using it to relieve constipation, you begin with 1 tablespoon and increase or decrease until you find relief of your constipation.

Typically, once you move out of Induction and into OWL, you'll be eating enough vegetables that you won't need to supplement your diet with flax.

If you click the link in my siggy, it'll bring you to my personal page. I have a section devoted to flax, because it doesn't come without it's dangers.

Thanks for the info! I only use one tablespoon in the morning with my breakfast as a supplement not for its "other" helpful use lol I will email the company about the label and see if it is the European style that you stated above. It came from North Dakota lol so I am suprised if they are using that but will be interesting to see what they say.

You have a great site. Will be back to read it some more.

      Thanks again for the reply!
