  • Introduction.. and need some advice!

Hi everyone :wave .. I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself as well as ask for some advice if you don't mind

So I'm 5'9 and weigh 138lbs, I would like to lose about 8lbs to get to 130lbs. I've done low cal diets where I eat 1200cals a day, and I have been successful on them but the down side is that I'm not eating the healthiest.. for example I dirnk WAY too much diet pop and eat low cal hard candy and low cal ice cream, jello, pudding etc. and then I basically eat fruits and veggies , which is the one healthy part of the diet.
So I was thinking about doing atkins as a healthy alternative and to get rid of my sweet cravings, lose some weight, and have a healthier lifestyle.
(sorry for this being so long)
So now my question is, do you think I would lose the weight if I did atkins, considering I'm not at a very high weight. I would also watch my calories.. but I'm just wondering if it would take me longer to lose weight with atkins as opposed to low calorie.
Thanks to any input anyone has :help

Since you have so little to lose it might take a bit of time to drop the weight, just follow the program, exercise and drink your WATER!!!

best of luck to ya :hug

thanks for your reply.. i'm just still debating whether I should do atkins or stick to the low cal diet...
btw I'm not looking just for a quick fix.. if I were to start atkins I would continue through with it until maintenance.. but I just don't know if it is worth it to start atkins as opposed to doing a diet of 1200cals...
I think I'm also scared that atkins wouldn't work for me since I don't have a lot to lose :confused

      Thanks for your encouragment tho!
