Starting Induction on June 1, 2005

After reading the article about the man who lost 300 pounds doing Atkins (and seeing the news video over the internet) I was inspired to come back to the Atkins WOL and start over fresh.
I was on Atkins a couple of years ago and lost 45 pounds but fell off the wagon HARD and gained it all back plus more.

    Me too! Me too!

The only reason I joined this website is because I was going to start Atkins (again!) on June 1st too. I've read a lot of inspiring storied on here! I have to lose about 65 pounds. I'm 215, looking to be around 150 & then depending on how I feel, I might keep going! I'm hoping to get rid of most of that by Sept. 18th, my 25th birthday.

I'm grocery shopping tomorrow & I've got my handy Atkins shopping companion paperback in my purse!

Hope to see you around the site! Maybe we can be of some support to each other!

    /KIM :wave

      Hi Kim

I would love to offer my support to you.

I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow myself after I accompany my son to school to pay his teacher for thier classroom's upcoming 4 day camping trip.

I've printed out a list of Induction veggies because I can never remember what was on the list other then a few things such as lettuce and broccoli (to name two). Buying meat, oils and cream is a no brainer.

        3rd Try

I'm not giving up...starting today as well. This may very well be what I need to succeed this time. I am giving this my all. Tired of being a hostage to the wrong types of food.

                  Thanks Wannabethintoo. :wave

What I have had so far:

1 500 ml glass of water (I know the glass is 500 ml because I measured it with a 500 ml bottle of water)
                  1 cup tea-decaf
2 tablespoons half and half (for the tea)
1 4 ounce burger made from extra lean ground beef
1 package Carl Buddig Peppery Beef (at less then 1 carb per pack these might make great snacks)

                  What is in/on the stove:
8 eggs a-boiling (which I will cool and peel later and place in a covered container in the fridge for carb/snack attacks)

1 chicken roasting (A local grocery store is having a buy-one-chicken-get-one-free sale this week. I'm taking full advantage of that sale and that roasted chicken will be cooled later, stripped and all the meat placed in a container in the fridge for use in salads, etc.)

I'm feeling kind of tired today and icky but it is from all the crap I ate yesterday. I look forward to feeling better.

                      Great start Empress! :wave

You may want to check on that half and half. If I recall correctly, that is not allowed on induction.

                      Good luck!!!

I will recheck my book when I head upstairs. It is all that was in the fridge at the moment but I will recheck the book.
