  • Week 1 is over!

Ok week 1 is done! I have stayed 100 percent cheat free besides a scotch binge at a Memorial day party that featured (I kid you not) "Breads and soft cheeses from around the world" which was a BIG temptation for me, the assortment of sweets I could care less about but I was pretty freaked out it was like a crack addict going into a crack house LOL!

A lot of family was there some I had not seen in years so I was pretty much stuck there. I was some awesome ticked but ended up talking to a guy on atkins who offered to get me a scotch as he told me it has 0 carbs so he and I had a few and just talked about the diet and stuff as he couldnt eat anything basically either. I know you shouldnt drink alcahol on induction but it didnt affect me any.. (not that I will repeat the performance)

After explaining stuff to the host I want to specifically note that he had at least a thousand dollars of a planned menu laid out and was NOT offended in any way that I couldnt eat any of it and near jumped at the chance to make us a burger.. I have seen posts on here that people are guilted into eating stuff not to offend the host or the host will be mad, this is a good example of how if the person cares about you and wants you to be healthier and lose weight they are happy to help. Since they cared enough to invite you to the party, I would think they care about you enough to either make you something, or not be offended if you have to leave if they cant.

I was sick of lobster by day 2 now I have chicken for dinner with string beans and a green salad with blue cheese dressing for lunch.. I have steak planned only a couple days.. Its weird how little I can eat now.. Its all I can do to eat 2 eggs for breakfast and a couple pieces of bacon.. I mean it tastes good, but I just dont desire to go into a feeding frenzy like I used to.

Good news is I have lost 18 pounds so far (on top of the 30 I lost pre atkins on a misery diet for two months) so thats good.. Looking forward to getting this week done..

    1/2 way there : D

Glad I stumbled across this site I am really inspired by the before and after pictures people have in their sigs.
