    I strayed....

Ok, I'm back for some discipline. I'm reinducting after almost reaching goal which was maddeningly slow and then after maintaining for quite some time - the carbs have crept up and now I'm up 7 lbs. I have been so sloppy lately that I am reinducting for 2 weeks before going back to OWL. I started this AM with bacon and eggs, eggsalad and salad for lunch and will have veal picatta (sans flour ofcourse) with sauteed broccoli for dinner. I guess I'm glad I didn't let it get too out of hand but am still frustrated with my lack of attention lately. I get out of school this Friday which means I'll have lots of time to exercise and cook and be focused...and then once again, go for goal. In the meantime, I'm going for discipline. Victoria

    hi.

Get back into ketosis, then move into OWL. If you didn't go through Pre-Maintenance the first time around, do it this time.

Lots of people pooh-pooh going through the phases, but I've found that the folks who do, have an easier time maintaining their weight loss.

I only got up to rung three. Now I'm up to 134 so as soon as I get back to 127 or after two weeks (whichever comes first) I'll move on. I feel the need top be really strict for a couple weeks just to get back into it. I will plan to do all the rungs, though.

With a 14 pound weight loss goal, you ought to think about moving onto OWL after 14 days no matter how much Induction weight you lose. That way you can find your CCLL and move up those rungs in preparation for Maintenance.

I'm definately moving on after 2 weeks - or when I get to 127 - whichever comes first.

ok, day two of Induction (again) and I'm starving! I know that by tomorrow I won't be so hungry but right now I'm absolutely insatiable. I woke up in the middle of the night with a fierce headache; I'm assuming that's due to sugar withdrawel. Also have a bit of heartburn right now - so basically I'm just a symphony of bodily functions of which I hope to be relieved of in the next day or two once ketosis comes back into my life. I'm trying to decide what to make for dinner - may go to the fish market. Friday is the last day of school and we have to bring a dish to share so I'm bringing Linda's chile relleno casserole (from Linda's low carb recipes website). It's induction friendly and quite yummy any time of day. Another thing I'm gonna try to do is go see lots of movies in the afternoon/evenings - my breakdown time. It keeps me occupied and I'm not bored (hopefully) and takes my mind off of food. I saw Crash last night...thumbs up. I just reread this - Wow, talk about flow of conciousness. This is what happens to teachers in May - mushbrain.

ok, weighed in this am. Back down to 132... 5 lbs. from where I was before I got sloppy. Today is my last day of school and a bunch of teachers are going to Bennihanas for late lunch and celebratory drink. I know there's lot's I can eat there but I've promised myself no sake - which I love. No booze at all, infact. I'm into it. I'm gonna order steak and veggies and maybe even sashimi and take some home for dinner. Hopefully this time next week I'll have even better news.
