  • cream chesse question

Does cream cheese contribute to the 3-4 oz of cheese we can eat, or is it separate. I do so much with cream cheese I hoping I haven't been going over my cheese limit.
    Cheers!

Afraid so :sadblinky cream cheese counts as cheese according to the list in your DANDR
    Cheese
You can consume three to four ounces daily of the following full-fat, firm, soft and semi-soft aged cheeses*, including:

    cheddar
    cow, sheep and goat cheese
    cream cheese
    Gouda
    mozzarella
    Roquefort and other blue cheeses
    Swiss
*All cheeses have some carbohydrate content. The quantity you eat should be governed by that knowledge. The rule of thumb is to count 1 ounce of cheese as equivalent to 1 gram of carbohydrate
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I do nothing with cream cheese. I'm really thinking that I should start having more variety or else I'm going to get bored with the food. I should check out the recipes.

I moved to OWL so I could use my dairy allowance for cheese. Just be careful it stalls some people

and some cream cheese has sugar in it.

as a treat sometimes, I take a small spoonful of cream cheese on it, then I sprinkle a little splenda on it. Takes just like cheese cake! lol

A note to the newbies...low carb icecream is not allowed on Induction.

You could say "It's only a teaspoon!" but if you start thinking that in the beginning, it could lead to slippery slopes in the future.
Induction is the time to re-learn how to eat and to get rid of old bad habits.

You can have it on the dairy rung though.

Definitely. It was one reason I fell off the wagon.
