  • Question?

I love eggs and bacon in the morning along with sauage as well...You get alot of grease from the bacon and sauage when cooking so is it necessary to add butter to this mix?

Just curious!! I love the fat but wanted to get some ideas about this. Johnny :guns

I never add butter. I use a nonstick pan and fry the eggs after the bacon or sausages are done so they slide out of the pan easily with the grease from the meat.

if something feels too greasy after i cook it, I let it sit on some kitchen paper hand towels to drain the excess grease. Also, if you put your bacon and sausages on the pan first and let it cook for a bit, then the grease comes out of it, and you can use it to cook your eggs - that way you don't actually need any access oil/butter to cook them - that's what I do, even when I don't use non-stick cookware.

Besides, you're still on Induction, so try not to worry about the grease - enjoy it whilst you can and the fattiness will definitely help you not feel hungry between meals!

can you eat sausages in induction? I thought they had flour and other carbs in them. I looked at some packs today and all had quite a bit of carbs (6g/100g mostly)... so which sausages can you eat?

Alot of times they are cured with Sugar, so look for the sugar and preferablly the nitrate free.

Pure beef sausages and not the maple flavored ones are okay. heck, they are great a little crunchy...dipped in a fried egg.......mmmmm

I usually use Pam and not butter for the eggs.

Hi :wave if I remember correctly you are in UK, aren't you?
You are right in assuming most british bangers are NOT induction-legal due to the breadcrumbs and other fillers most contain :sadblinky

I buy Bratwurst from Lidl supermarkets which are 99% meat and contain no fillers. The large ones (3 ounces each) are 0.3 carbs each and the small ones (chipolata size) are 0.3 carbs for four.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
