  • Restarting restart....HELP!

Okay, this is the 3rd time I've had to restart induction, in as many weeks. I do fine during the week, but come friday evening I blow it. urplequ:

So I've been thinking what I really need is some accountability. Is there someone - anyone - who would be willing to be my "sponsor" who I can send private messages (or email) every day with my menu and stuff?

Or does anyone have any pointers that will just overall help me survive the weekend? I really just want to have a clean induction for 14 consecutive days.

I did notice over this past cheat weekend that when I did want to binge, I really couldn't.

    Thanks all.

I think the Mentor program is still in effect. You'll have to look around at the stickies in the various forums to see if it still is.

As for weekend cheating....you have to sit down with yourself and figure out why. Do you have the proper foods around? Do you eat non-Atkins foods because you are bored? Do you eat non-Atkins foods because you don't have the diet support of family or friends?

Only you know why you fall off during the weekend and only you can really develop strategies to avoid that.

katie, I find I get lots of great support on www.3fatchicks.com (not that I DONT here!) They have a forum specifically designed for finding an accountability buddy. My buddy is awesome, she has really been keeping me on my toes! We email each other every night what we ate for the day, and how many carbs we got, etc.

Hi, Katie! I'd had the same problem - I couldn't control my food intake on weekends until I asked help from my husband. So I understand the power of help.
I would love to help you as much I can. Unfortunately I'm not a big expert on Dr. Atkins diet, I started it only 16 days ago. Besides, if you want to see my couple of days menu just check all my posts.
I wish you the third time would be successful for you! By the way, how many pounds do you want to loose?

I have the same problem. For some reason when the weekend arrives, I CRAVE horrible things. I think I conditioned myself to do so, because I'd usually go out on Friday and Saturday nights. You really need to have someone hide the bad foods in the house, or throw them out.

And as for going out to eat, there are plenty of restaurants that can serve a steak, grilled chicken, SALMON (yumm), or even a bunless burger with a salad!

If you have a Red Robin in the area, they make an excellent bunless burger. Nice and filling! And comes with a salad, if you want (just make sure to ask for no tortilla chips in it and pick out the carrots). I am always satisfied after that.
