On fitday they don't have ranch dressing that is no carb (the carb well and carb options kind) and that is what I use. I have been using "mayo" in fitday to record the ranch because it was the closest thing I found. The fat for 2Tbs in the mayo was 20g and the dressing was 16g both with zero carb and sugars. Is this acceptable as far as giving me a proper ratio reading?

Well...what is your ratios?
Mayo is just fine to use for dressing, I do it.It also helps if you need to get your fat ratio up. Every once in a while I'll spring for the Carb Well Ranch, the blue cheese is just plain gross though lol...But you can use the regular versions of both.335/265/230

Yep, the custom foods is the best way to go.
For future reference, you can also edit the foods they have in there. I had flavored pork tenderloin this week, which had 2 carbs per 2 oz. serving. I threw out the packaging, so I didn't remember all the nutritional info. I just went into the fitday, selected "pork tenderloin" and then clicked on "edit" to add the two carbs. I also added 8 calories so it would even out (1g of carb has 4 calories).

1 gram of fat = 9 calories
I think the only difference between carbs is how your body processes them, but the calories are the same. This is why people fall so easily into the low-fat trap. Less fat = less calories, and that's all they want to know.

But if that's the case then why do they restrict the amount of beef that you can eat on certain diets. If a gram of beef has the same amount of calories as a gram of chicken then why is beef restricted?
