Hey everyone! Its the fat blob and the equaly fat blob wife!

We are married and both overweight. I am pushing 320 and she is pushing 270.

I have done atkins in the past long ago and I have read the new book. I have a couple questions though.

How much splenda can you have per day? Lets say diet rite, how many cans can i drink per day? (Im a big soda lover)

Eating out - We simply do not have time to come home and eat lunch. I am on the road doing service work from the time I go to work till the time I go home. I am going to HAVE to find somewhere I can eat. I don't have a lot of choices around here but what about KFC without the skin / breading? I like chicken and it would work well for me. There are rumors about something being injected into it but I havne't seen any proof of that.

Exercise - We both have semi-physical jobs. She works in a daycare taking care of 6 babies all day (lifting, walking around the room constantly, etc.) I am a computer techinican so im all the time crawling on the floor, lifting computers, getting in and out of the car, walking from the car to the office. Ok, so it isn't running a marathon but every bit helps. Might get banned for this but sex is also good for exercise right? We have sex at least 2 times a week and it lasts for longer than 20 mins... much longer :icondance

Anyway, im looking forward to shreading some of this weight off... Thanks for the support ha

You have to take the look of changing your eating forever, this isn't a quick fix so be prepared to give up some things.

Dr. Atkins tells us to have no more tha 3 servings per day, that are counted as one carb a peice. One can of Diet rite is equal to one serving, but I advise you to stay away from sodas all together for your two week induction. It will be alot easier to get all of your water in. It also helps breaking your addiction to sodas and sweets.

Dr. Atkins says, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." You should prepare your lunch the night before and take it will you. Take a copy of the "acceptable foods " list with you to the store and figure out ideas.

to be honest, I don't really think thats enough exercise. but thats just me. Dr. Atkins advises at the minimal, 30 minutes of brisk walking 4-5 times weekly. You are changing your life remember?

Good luck and welcome to the board.

Hello and welcome, mr and mrs blob!

Just wanted to tell you two things. The other day I was forced to eat out and there was only KFC around. I tell you, eating without the bread/skin is the most frustrating thing I've been through! it's VERY messy, and it's also very difficult to avoid the temptation of just wolfing down the skin, as it smells so nice. I really would advise you to try and find somewhere else for lunch.

2nd, I walk around alot at work (hospital), and actually very rarely get the chance to sit, but still I noted better weight loss and feeling of well being when going to the gym. I do about half an hour (cardio exercises). It takes a while to get used to but the idea is to burn 250 calories with exercise. I'll tell you that before all this I was a complete couch potato, coming home from work openning a few packs of crisps and playing video games!

It's time to change, and I'm sure you blobs can manage!

      enjoy!
