  • Domino's Wings

I was just looking through this website called dietfacts.com where you can search through foods to get the nutritional content of different foods. I looked at Domino's Hot Buffalo wings and the content was:

    (there are 10 servings total)
    Serving Size: 1 average piece • 24.9g
    Amount Per Serving Calories 45

    Calories from Fat 22

    Total Fat 2.4g 4%

    Saturated Fat 0.6g 3%

    Cholesterol 25.6mg 9%

    Sodium 354.4mg 15%

    Total Carbohydrate 0.5g 0%

    Dietary Fiber 0.2g 1%

    Sugars 0.2g

    Protein 5.5g 8%

Is this ok to eat if I split it into two meals?

You need to know the ingredients. My guess is that the carbs are coming from sugar/corn syrup/etc in the sauce. So that would mean they're a no-no. When I get wings from a local restaurant I ask for the sauce on the side or without sauce. They aren't as exciting but they are legal (if not breaded).

              Sorry! :sadblinky

Yea, you cannot just read the nutirtional value alone, you have to read the actual ingredients too. But, that being said, I have eaten them on occassion and they didn't do any harm. It would take 3 of them to equal one carb--each being .3 after subtracting the fiber. You could however have them bake them and bring them to you w/o the sauce, then make your own from Frank's Louisiana Red Hot sauce and butter, that way you could be sure they were legal! and making the sauce is a breeze, you can do it in the microwave in a few seconds!

Be wary with that dietfacts.com site. They might be using old data for their figures because according to the nutritional info for the wings from the Dominos site, each piece has 1 total carb, no fiber grams.
