Is this okay to use, to mix with mayo and cream to make a dip/dressing?

Sorry - not a food we have over here, so I have no idea :sadblinky
So - have you read the ingredients and compared them with the allowed list of foods?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I did but it has some listed that I don't know what are and I know sugar likes to hide itself!

I wanted to try that too, but it contains MSG, which is a problem for me. Maybe someone else has an answer regarding sugars in it.

Sugar free Sheila mentioned something about using this recently. Maybe Pm her and ask?

Why not list the ingredients here?

I use it and count 1 carb per serving. I use mayo and 1/2 cream and 1/2 water

Shay, if you look at the sticky called "Net Carbs, Added Sugar, Labels, FAST FOOD links", it will have a list of "sugar aliases". You can copy those sugar aliases so you'll always have a reference.

The first ingredient is maltodextrin and I saw dextin on the sticky. Being that this is the first ingredient which means there is a lot in there I am going to skip it. Thanks

If anyone else is intersted I just posted a home made recipe for a ranch mix to turn into dressing or dip, just like the packaged but without the big words that can't be good for us :nod :nod

It is posted in the snack recipe forum.

Maltdextrin (sometimes called Maltodextrin) is a corn syrup derivative. It's used primarily as a bulking agent/sweetener. So you made a good choice staying away from it.

I'll have to post a ranch dressing/dip recipe I got out of a cookbook.

I used it with no problems, but your mileage may vary. I prepare this one all the time, and it is so much better than the bottled ranch dressings!
