Hi everybody...I just started Atkins Induction on the 3rd of June and I stumbled upon this forum which seems to be a great place for support and information.
I'm an 18 year old female who's had a lot of trouble controling my weight. I was about 50 pounds overweight as a child, but I managed to grow into some of those pounds, leaving me with only a little chub. I have always been one of those "crash dieters" who manage to get their weight down only to gain it back a few weeks later. Recently, I noticed that my metabolism is not what it used to be...I mean, I just turned 18! :anger That's pretty sad. So, being at my highest weight ever at this height, 145 and having to wear like, a size 10...I decided to try atkins since there were no other options and starvation diets just didn't work anymore.
Wow, let me tell you how amazing this is. I've gone from 130 to 123 in 6 days. I've already lost 2 inches from my hips and 2 inches from my waist! (thank god the bust hasn't changed lol) It feels so weird, I mean, I feel bad after eating such huge and tasty meals (my favorite is the bun-less cheese burger..mmm)...then I hop on the scale the next day and it just, OMG! I like to incorporate Tae Bo and walking into my daily workout, as I'm on summer vacation and I have the time...but I take it easy. This WOE is just the best thing I've ever encountered and I plan to continue it all my life. Though it seems that I'm losing the weight a little too fast...hey, I'm not complaining. It's probably since I never used to eat meat before. Sooo Happy that I'm not going to be chubby when college starts in August! Cheers to a new beginning!
(Sorry for such a long introduction, but I'm just excited!)
