ok, i have another question.....when the book says eat meat liberally, does it mean at each meal or when ever...I knew a girl that ate meat all day long and she said she was on Adkins diet, just because she said it doesn't mean i was going to do it, but my goodness, so if i get a craving, can i eat some salmon each time :bang

Snacks should be a combo of fat and protein. Ideally it should be higher in fat than protein, like a piece of cheese, a deviled egg, tuna and mayo. The fat will keep you satisfied longer because it takes longer to digest.
Dr. Atkins uses "liberally" in the same sense most other doctors use that term. It doesn't mean "go hog wild", but it means you are able to eat it if you want.
