    This is my third night on Atkins and I'm having pretty strong cravings...for sausage and scrambled eggs. Is it bad to crave a "legal" food or is it a good thing to enjoy this WOE that much?

    Also, i know this question has probably been asked before but can you have too much protein/lean meat? I followed the plan flawlessly until this afternoon about 5:00 i ate an entire rotissarie chicken (minus one breast half).

    Also does the "Flu" come and go or is it one long ordeal?, because last night i felt horrible, this morning i felt great, and tonight i feel good, just a little hungry.

    It is wonderful to crave a legal food. By all means, indulge yourself.

    Enjoying this WOE is a surefire way to find lasting success on Atkins.

    Can you have too much protein/meat? Sure...if you are stuffing
    yourself to the point your body is in misery - thats too much.

    Eat until you are comfortably full, not stuffed.

    The flu is optional. I never had it.

      You might find Fitday to be really helpful in telling you where you're at with your foods ...here's a link that helps explain what it can do for you.


      all sorts of weird things happen during Induction...remember you are going through a lot....between the physical withdrawal and the unexpected emotional attachments to food that pop up out of nowhere, it's a nutty time.

      I think the 'flu' is as individual as the person who has or doesn't have it. Just ride the 2 weeks through and if you do feel poorly, remember it'll pass.

      Make sure you read the sticky's in the forums you go to..lots of good info in them. :yes
