I am going on a cruise to Europe in a few days and I'm trying to figure out how to stay on induction while on the ship....I'm a vegetarian so it's not as simple as eating chicken for dinner....so far I've planned that i can have eggs and some smoked salmon for breakfast.....maybe stick to salads or tuna for lunch.....and shrimp or fish with veggies for dinner....resisting rolls and dessert at dinner will be hard but I think I can manage.

I don't really have much weight to lose...I'm just trying to look more toned and lose a little fat, but I still don't want to screw up....it's summer...meaning beach and bathing suits

    i'm going to stay motivated

    Any other food suggestions

I imagine you will be fine as regards food choices.
Is there time to ask the cruise line what the meals will comprise and make a 'special diet' request? They must be used to catering for vegetarians :yes
Depending on the nationality of the ship they will probably have 'english' b/f alternatives - eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes - as well as 'continental' - boiled eggs, cheeses - so you will easily be able to avoid the croissants and cereals etc.
Most catering concerns offer decaf coffee and water as a norm so that should not be a problem. On trips ashore make sure you take plenty of bottled water too.
If you use splenda try to take your own 'stash' too.
If you can talk to the waiting/serving staff and perhaps even give them a list of the allowed foods and 'enrol' them into your support team as Dr Atkins suggests they might be able to check for flours and hidden sugar with the chefs for you too and steer you towards 'induction legal' foods at other meals too.
Will the ship have exercise facilities on board? If not, try to walk as much as possible and join up for any 'sports-type' activities to keep active.
    Have a lovely time :joy
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

if you decide to take your own stash of spleda...make sure it is in a MARKED package, that says splenda on it...or they might think its drugs...it sounds silly but it has happened...if you had a clear plastic ziplock with splenda, even if they find out it is just splenda, it's still considered against the law because it LOOKs like drugs...just be careful taking your own stuff if you choose to go that route! You can probably call the cruise line and see if they have splenda on the ship too

I recently went on a cruise and they (carnival cruises) had a low carb dinner menu. I was really shocked they had a low carb dinner menu!!! They have a 24hr pizza buffet you can scrap veggie topings off of, and sandwiches w/o the bread and a SUSHI bar!!! So maybe in the morning eat eggs, then for lunch eat pizza toppings, or a veggie sandwich w/o bread, or even sushi w/o rice and something off the low carb menu for dinner. I did this for a day or so then ate what I wanted to since I was on vacation, and lost 165 lbs (I don't recomend eating what u want that's non-Atkins!!!). Now I'm back on induction needless to say. Hope this helps and have fun on your cruise!!!!! I had so much fun on mine!!!
        after 6 months of Pilates
165 Lbs lighter and worth the wait!!!
