  • Day 8 of Induction and need some opinions

I'm on day of 8 of induction and today was my 1 week weigh in and I lost 6 lbs!!!!!!!! So I'm soooooo happy about that. I have a small problem though.........although it's a problem that I like..LOL I just don't feel like eating. I know I am supposed to not let 6 hours go without eating, but I just don't feel like eating...I've been eating before the 6 hours is up only because I have to, is this ok? Shouldn't I only eat when I'm hungry? And when I DO eat, I have a few bites and don't feel like eating anymore. So, I'm afraid if I only eat when I'm hungry, I won't get all the food in me that I need to sustain a healthy weight loss.....any opinions?

    Thanks!

    Congrats.

You are in ketosis. One of the signs of ketosis is loss of appetite. So right now it's really important that you go no more than 6 waking hours without eating as Dr. Atkins recommended. you don't want to drop your calories too much that you'll put your body into starvation mode.

If you can't eat 3 large meals, you might need to break them up into 4 or 6 smaller "snacks".

ugh I am having the exact same problem...only mine is more complex...i really dont feel like eating half the time...I kinda think I haven't been eating nearly enough for the past 3 days...but the part that REALLY sucks is that I HATE cooking...so not being hungry and hating cooking has made me basically eat like a bird for the past few days...I think what I need to do is cook a HUGE meal and then just eat it for 2 days lol. I dunno, I'm just getting worn out in the kitchen : /

Have you got a crockpot/slow cooker?
You could just throw meat and veggies into one and turn it on in the morning and find it ready in the evenings.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
