You're tastes will change if you stick with it. Maybe for now you can have salads (nice, very green lettuce) and add a little bit of some other veg until you get used to it (cucumber, jicama, mushrooms, etc). Then you get to have your favorite, Atkins safe dressing.

You need to check
Hi :wave
You need to check label and you need to eat more. This is not a starvation diet. If you eat as little as you say your body will hold on to your weight as it feels you are starving it.
Eat more of what is acceptable. If you need menu ideas check out this websight.

VegetablesOriginally posted by Shaune Drakewhats some ideas for veggies that i can have...
You can have two to three cups per day of:
alfalfa sprouts
daikon
mushrooms
arugula
endive
parsley
bok choy
escarole
peppers
celery
fennel
radicchio
chicory
jicama
radishes
chives
lettuce
romaine lettuce
cucumber
moche
sorrel
These salad vegetables are high in phytonutrients and provide a good source of fiber.
Other Vegetables
You can have one cup per day of these veggies if salad does not exceed two cups. The following vegetables are slightly higher in carbohydrate content than the salad vegetables:
artichoke
celery root
pumpkin
artichoke hearts
rhubarb
asparagus
chard
sauerkraut
bamboo shoots
collard greens
scallions
dandelion
snow peas
bean sprouts
dandelion greens
spaghetti squash
beet greens
eggplant
spinach
broccoli
hearts of palm
string or wax beans
broccoli rabe
kale
summer squash
brussels
kohlrabi
tomato
bean sprouts
leeks
turnips
cabbage
okra
water chestnuts
cauliflower
onion
zucchini
If a vegetable, such as spinach or tomato, cooks down significantly, it must be measured raw so as not to underestimate its carb count.,Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

On the vegetable front what about courgettes??
They have low carbs but they aren't on any of the vegetable lists does that mean they are in or out. I hope they are as I've had some over the last couple of days. I can recommend them to anyone who doesn't like vegetables, grilled some on the foreman for a while they were quite tasty.

"Courgettes" is the UK term for "zucchini".
Anyhow, Shaune, you might want to post your menu in the "Review My Menu" section of the board. From what little you wrote here, it sounds like you are doing your own version of Atkins.

Sorry if I sounded too harsh, but please do post your menu in the Review My Menu forum so the mods there can get a look at your menu and offer advice to tweak it.Originally posted by Shaune Drakenot doing my own version at all. its just my family brought me hamburger and hotdogs for lunch yesterday and i couldnt just not eat them with them there .
It takes your body about 3 days to use up the glycogen stored in your liver and to "kick" you into lipolysis. So you might not see or feel any different on day 5 or 6 for that matter. That's why Induction is 14 days long. By 2 weeks, you'll see some results, if the diet is properly followed.
The other thing you might want to watch out for is that some restaurants over-salt their foods. So that bloat might be due to water retention caused by highly salted foods.~Megs~
