  • Hi Guys!

Okay, I'll just start off by saying i've been on low-carb numerous times and I've always done well, but recently i just can't seem to get back on track. I need help with my menus....I have an 8-hour a day summer job and it takes up a lot of my time and i don't want to cook all the time. I hate bacon and eggs now...so I need another alternative to that for breakfast. Do you think it is okay if I make tuna salad for lunch AND dinner? I love it so much...for each meal i take 2 small cans of tuna and mix in sugar free relish (0g carbs) plus mayo and about 2 teaspoons of black chopped olives...is that too much? For dinner, I usually add a side salad with green peppers, lettuce, tomato, and cheese with ranch dressing. Thanks!

    Hi Charmed :wave
For breakfast you can have anyhting you want - it doesnt have to be a traditional breakfast meal. Lots of people have leftovers from the day before's meals - even chilli (no beans).

As to having the same dish for both other meals - you really ought to have a variety of foods so as not to get bored and 'fall off' Atkins as well as to make sure you eat a variety of vitamins/minerals.

You ought to spread the veggies out across your day - not have just one 'hit' of veggies per day - to even out insulin spikes.

Olives are fine - they come under the 'special category foods'
    Special Category Foods
To add variety, each day you can also eat 10 to 20 olives, half a small avocado, an ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
