    Hello

I have some questions. I am doing well with induction but I am confused about added sugar in low-carbohydrate products.

I am sensing from different posts that Reddi-Whip whipped cream is not legal because of the sugar. This makes sense to me, but I do not understand why lemon juice is legal. This is sugar as well!

I also found marinades and juice that is very low in carbs but there are 1 or 2 grams of sugar. Is it better to avoid all of these foods, or can I count them towards my 20 carbs!

    I want the best results!

    WElcome Peter,
Lemon juice should be plain with no sugar added. Fresh squeezed or bottled.

If you want the best results during induction and stick to the induction list. If the ingrdents are on the list then count the carbs if they are not dont eat it.
We are happy to have you here. :yes

      Thanks

      Thanks Lauren

So am I safe in assuming that Reddiwhip is out!

      Also, what about low-carb marinades?

We all need to read labels to lowcarb successfully, Peter, as you have found already.
If there is nothing on the list of ingredients that is not on the list of induction foods then it is OK to use them.
Btw - lemon juice is mentioned as one of the 'Special Category' foods on the list and we are told that it might affect weightloss so to be aware of how it affects us.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
