  • Just a quick question.

My partner is doing the two week induction, he's just started.

If memory serves, can you have sugar free jello during this time.

I'm sure I did and it didnt take me out of ketosis.

    Please let me know.

    Thanking you.

Dee, it would be better if you could cut out the jello in the first couple of weeks, to help break any sugar addictions you may have?

It's hard enough to get through Induction as it is without having to deal with wanting jello later on, you know?

Yes, I agree. When a person is trying to kick sugar addiction, even sugar-free jello could start the cravings. If your partner doesn't go for something worse, he may end up eating WAY too much jello and stall himself. Also jello is sweetened with aspartame, which is a known staller (not for all ppl, but for several).

Maybe you can let him read this interesting thread about how some people react to even artificial sweeteners.

It convinced me to drop the jelly!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Well, before my accident last year, I did Atkins for 6 months. I ate sugar-free jello daily and lost tons and tons of pounds and inches.

It is something to experiment with - for some people, it can cause a stalll, for others it does not.
          Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
          218/187/140
          Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Thanks guys really appreciate your help.

Ill just let him leave it alone for now.

You're right sugar free jello would make me crave.

            Thanks so much.

I ate jello, but I think it caused cravings.

While you're all being so helpful here to me I'm going to take full advantage!!! (Chuckles to herself)

I saw a fabulous recipie on here for the Radish Home Fries.

Im thinking of making this recipie for my man this Saturday as you all know hes on day 5 of his induction and doing well and is is full Ketosis.

So my question is..... what do you all think would be the safe amount of Radishes to use for this recipie considering he is on his induction. I just want to get it right. Also isnt there onions in it, gotta be careful of those too, don't you.

                  Please let me know.

                  Most grateful.

I think radishes are a salad veggie, so depends on how many other salad veggies he had that day. I would say a cup would be a happy amount for a guy, but have him plan accordingly for the day.

Plus, I am not sure what all is in this recipe, but I am assuming it is Induction-friendly.
