Welcome fellow Seattlite!
(actually I just work there...live in Sammamishire)
Don't know what trimspa is, wouldn't really trust it...
You don't want to take something now that you're going to need to use to keep the weight off forever...that's kind of expensive.
It's better to lose weight naturally because the results will last longer.
But maybe it's harmless....I don't really know.

Best not to take any extra pills that what is recommended when doing Atkins - when we are advise to take a multivitamin supplement daily.
BTW I found a website where they have looked at the trimspa pills which you ought to look at and read the possible side effects before deciding to use it - going by what they say I certainly wouldnt and in fact would throw them away :yikes
Anyway - Atkins is a fat-burning way of eating so you should get the good side-effects of fat-burning from Atkins eating for free :joyWondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

basically what trimspa CLAIMS to do is when you take 1 pill with a whole glass of water its supposed to make this huge gel blob in your stomach that is supposedly supposed to take up space so youll feel full faster...with Atkins, you really truly don't need this...IF it even works...I tried trimspa for 2 months and got NO results. With atkins you will be moved into ketosis pretty quickly, and that is all the appetite suppressant you need, I promise
When I started ketosis I almost had to force myself to eat...now I am more accustomed to it, but at the beginning I felt the effects really strongly. Works better than any diet pill

This is my outlook on diet pills:
If they really worked, everyone in the world would be skinny and would stay skinny after they stopped taking them.
Not trying to be rude or anything, so sorry if it sounded that way.
The thing with diet pills is if they do work, what are you going to do when you have lost all the weight you want to lose and you stop taking them and start to gain it all back? It is best to re-train your eating habbits by being on Atkins and stop worrying about all these "get skinny fast" pills. It may take more time to lose the weight, but this way the weight will stay off and you have done it all the right way yourself. Weight didn't gain in a day, so getting it off will take more than a day.Female

My advice is to not take it. It is forbidden on Atkins. If you take Trimspa you are not doing Atkins.Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

hey I just wanted to caution you(i posted this a while back). I was taking trimspa-one night, started having severe chest pains, rapid hear tbeat, feeling dizzy. Ended up passing out and spending the night in the ER with my blood pressure at 175+ which is normally at 115-120 (i have always had low blood pressure). Im also a healthy active not heavy 20 year old,so for something to affect me- it would have to be pretty bad since ive never had any trips to the ER/and very very few trips to the doctor prior to this. Three doctors came to the conslusion that there is a certain ingredient that races people hearts. Luckily- nothing worse happened to me,the doctor said had i been doing any physical activity i might of ended up havin a heart attack.
Just wanted to warn/caution you- i thought they were a GREAT way to help weight loss... Sad, i could of had serious health problems because of my "quick fix"
good luck..

Trimspa???
Yep! You definitely said it all right there. I have to force myself to eat, definitely don't need anything else to suppress my appetite either! I took it for a little while....it didn't work for me. I didn't feel any different, and it certainly didn't help my doughnut craving (this was before Atkins)...lol.
As for diet pills in general, I agree that they are a waste of time and money. A few years ago, my mom basically forced me to go to this weight loss clinic where they prescribed phentermine for me to take. I lost 70 lbs....but felt dizzy and hypoglycemic all the time...I would pass out when my blood sugar plummetted...it made my moods really erratic....they told me and my mom this stuff was NORMAL cuz I was a teen (17 at the time). I gained all my weight back and 20 lbs more, needless to say.

Sleepless,
Let me save you the trouble. I did Trim Spa from January thru June, and it did not do a thing for me. I have 20 lbs to lose, exercise 3-4x a week, AND was on the South Beach Diet, and did not lose an ounce.
Personally, I suspect that the Trim Spa tablets contain some sort of starchy filler material that's counterproductive to this WOE. If you're interested in taking a thermogenic to help boost your metabolism while on Atkins, try Atkins Dieter's Advantage. It costs much less, and at least you know that you are the intended user. I'm not affiliated with Atkins at all, I promise you, I'm just a regular girl who's 1 week into Atkins, and I take Dieter's Advantage, and have already seen visible results in my midsection.
I would stay away from Trim Spa if I were you. Here are two threads from the SBD forum where I shared my experiences:
Good luck!

I agree with everyone else..I took TrimSpa about a year ago (I wasn't eating low carb then) and I DID NOT lose weight...It didn't even curb my appetite...AND- just some food for thought--when Anna Nicole Smith was on "The View" last year she basically said that she starved the weight off ("I was very hard on myself...")...
