Hi there. I think it looks good. Watch your cream intake. Under 'beverages' Dr. Atkins suggests a limit of 2-3 tablespoons of cream per day. Under 'special category foods' he writes "one ounce of sour cream OR three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream".

      Thanks Isabeau,

Yeah, I realized my coffee cream was high when I went to add up my carbs this morning...yikes! Will bring it down to 2tbsp or less now...

And thanks on the sour cream OR heavy cream per day...I missed that!

      :yikes

        A little frustrated

b]OOPS - I meant to start a new thread - posted in the wrong spot sorry![/b]

I am on day 11 today of induction. The first 6 days i lost 12 pounds! Awesome, right? Well, I was just getting over TOM also so that helped I am sure. My problem is days 7-11 nothing, even a 1.5 gain that is back down to original 12 lost, thank God.

I know, I have read that it is common to have no loss in second week due to your body readjusting, etc. I really do understand that this is probably completely normal, just frustrating. I would like to post my menu yesterday in case I am missing something.

B- 3 egg omelete with 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of bacon (I was starving )

L - 2.5 cup of lettuce with grilled chicken, Creamy Caeser dressing and grated parm cheese

D - 5 jalepeno poppers (cream cheese, bacon - recipe from Linda's low carb site) Grilled chicken breast breaded with parm cheese, red pepper flakes, garlic and onion powder.

Snack - 3 oz cream cheese with splenda and cocoa powder
1/2 leftover grilled chicken from dinner

I am thinking that I am a little heavy on the cheese ensive but other than that, I drank over 100oz of water yesterday as well.

Please tell me that I am not screwing this up and that I am still on the right track for induction. I tend to get frustrated and give up and I do NOT want to do that this time. But I need to know that I am doing it right.

        Thanking you in advance,
        Kelly
I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

          Hi Kelly

I'm sure one of the more experienced board members will be by to give you some advice.....

but, from what I see you are doing alright. You are right that you are a bit heavy on the cheese. You are allowed up to 3oz a day...so watch that a bit.

I've also read in a couple of other threads that cream cheese can hinder your weight loss...so maybe take that out of your diet for a while?

Anyhoo, I'm just starting myself so please take my advice with a grain of salt...as I said, I'm sure one of the more experienced board members will be along to give you some feedback.

          Good luck!
