I had to go to chicago, and I had a 2 day slip up. But I am back on induction. There's nothing like being in a city I barely know anything about and looking for food. I must admit I did get in my fair share of exercise. But its back to the drawing board for me. I am still at 205. So thankfully I won't be worrying about trying to get off what I had already worked on losing. Its back to the weightloss board for me :wave

trying
:sadblinky
I really am trying. The hardest thing is when you are visiting family for summer and they don't wanna eat healthy. And when you start eating a different way they look at you like you came from Pluto. I'd like to get down to about 180/170 see how I look there. And if I like what I see i may stay or even make 160 my last stop!! I'm happy I didn't gain like a cow when I went away tho. I think I would have cried if I did!

Here are a few suggstions that work for me. I hope they help you the next time you are in a simular cituation. :hug
I take my foods with me. I resently went with my DD to OKCity for a few days. I took a few tuna in a pouch,I took raw veggies, tomatoes, jicama, celery, red bell peppers, and some hard boiled eggs. I understand if you were flying this won't work for you.
The main thing is you have to think ahead and plan for success. Plan, Plan and plan some more for success. Always be prepared. Kinda like a girl scout. :joy
Oh and when family look at me like I am from Pluto, I just smile back. I continue to eat my foods and they eat their high carb foods. Now they are giving me compliments on how good I am doing with my new WOL. But they still don't want to eat low carb. I guess I will just keep setting a good example and hope that someday they will join me. :icondance
I understand how they feel. they think they can't live without carby foods. If they would just try this WOE, they would find out that the carbs are controlling them.
I am so happy for you that you didn't gain. the extra walking really helped.
You are doing a great job.
