  • Can not eating enough be bad?

The last couple of days I haven't been eating alot. Just not that hungry. Yesterday I had 2 chicken kabobs at a flea market, small salad with a little chicken, parm and creamy caeser. I didn't eat any dinner until like 8:30-9:00 because I was busy and not really hungry. So I cooked up a little lean ground beef added a little onion, cheese, lettuce, taco sauce and a tbsp of sour cream. Take it from me, portions are small and that is not alot compared to what I used to eat!

Today, 1 cup of coffee with heavy cream and splenda, bacon cheeseburger and a salad with chicken, parm and creamy caeser again. (oops, 2 tbsp. of french vanilla whip cream :nono ) I don't seem to be losing though. Should I be eating more? I just was not hungry at breakfast. I am down a total of 13 pounds so far and two weeks is up tomorrow. 13 pounds is great for 2 weeks, I know, but 12 came off in the first week alone.

Help please. I really want to do this right.

    Thanks,
    Kelly

Yes believe it or not it can be hurtful.

what happens is that you'll start consuming muscle instead of fat. During induction we are to eat 3 meals a day and eat untill we are satisfied. doing that pretty much takes care of watching calories.

don't let it consume you because it will...Just do everything by the book and you will be ok.

You probably ate more food the first week that you lost the 12 pounds. The following week you most likely didn't eat as much and you only lost a pound. Am I right? If so, that should tell you something right there.

In DANDR it says to eat at least every 6 waking hours. We must eat to keep our metabolism up or else the body goes into "starvation mode" and shuts down to conserve.

I barely ate for a week and only lost 2.6 pounds. There were a couple of times when I even felt alittle light headed. The following week I ate more food and I lost 5 pounds that week.

So, try to eat more and incorperate some form of exercise. Walking is a good way to get started. That's what I did and now I'm cycling between 20 and 37 miles every few days. Also, it would be a good idea to add some weight lifting. I just read somewhere that for each pound of muscle gained your body will automatically burn 50 more calories per day. Isn't that awesome?!

Good luck with your weight loss journey!

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, getting your metabolism rolling, so even if it's just one boiled egg, or a few rollups with cheese or whatever, get something down in the morning.

I will remember to keep eating. Never was a problem before, lol! I am starting back at Curves this week too, so maybe that will help. Thanks for the advice :wave
