Hey Smiles! congrats on your loss! that's awesome!
Yes, it is normal for one to go through a little "mini-stall" 3-5 weeks after starting. Your body has to adjust and a lot of the initial weight is water, but don't get discouraged...you'll probably pick right back up soon.
Just in case though, have you changed anything at all over the past 4 weeks? Have you added any new types of foods? Have you slowed down or stopped exercise?Higgies

40 pounds in 4 weeks!! I've heard of some great results before, but that's awesome. It gives me inspiration to see results like that. I have to lose somewhere between 70-90 pounds, (I haven't decided my goal weight yet, I've never been low enough to see where I would feel comfortable!) hopefully I can do it as quickly as you!
I don't know much about your "stall" because I've never been in that situation before. I can't stay motivated for 4 days, let alone 4 weeks! I've read posts from others in the same situation as you. Don't fret, keep up the great work & I'm sure you'll see more results.
Good Luck!

If you lost 40 lbs in 4 weeks, your body is going to pause and adjust. Are you measuring yourself every 2 weeks? If so, you are probably seeing a loss of inches which in my opinion is even better than pounds.Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05
218/187/140
Measuring every 2 weeks
As of 10/31/05, losta total of 56.75 inches!

Minimum 45 min cardio per day

40# is awesome! Good for you Smile_21!
I have just reinducted again but when I first began Atkins I lost 20# in the first month then didnt lose a single pound for a month or more as my body adjusted. But my tape measurements showed my progress. Those measurements really helped me when I didnt show anything on the scale. I knew this WOE was working for me.
