  • Day 2 Menu...please review/advise..

Breakfast 730am: 2 eggs with 1/2 tbsp of butter

Lunch 130pm: 2.5 cups salad greens, half chicken breast, 3 tsp parmesean cheese, 3TSBS hidden valley ranch dressing

Walked in the afternoon 2.3 miles in 40 min

Just before dinner I ate half of the burger only of my son's McDs happy meal. It had a little cheese on it. It was about a mouthful. I was upset after the Dr. visit and am glad I only ate the meat.

    Dinner 645pm: 8oz ribeye with 3/4 cup cauliflower, 1/4 cheddar, 1TsP mayo, 1tsp mustard, 1/4c sour cream

I drank 3.5 liters of water or about 125oz

And that is all I had in my mouth today.

Fit day results are as follows:

    Total: 1578
    Fat: 106 953 62%
    Sat: 35 319 21%
    Poly: 10 92 6%

    Carbs: 16 39 3%
    Fiber: 6 0 0%

It looks fabulous - but I still think adding in a few veggies for breakfast would be a good idea. You can afford the additional couple/three carbs they'll give you and it'll lend to a lot more variety in your breakfast choices for the long haul.

    Well done!

      mornings are hard

MOrnings are hard. We have to get out of the house and get going. Eggs are all I can manage to do. I dont eat tomatoes. I can add bacon, but it takes longer to cook. Maybe I can throw some spinach in the mix...but I don'tknow.

Yep. Mornings are hard. I've got a troop of 3, myself.

There are little pans at the grocery store for about $4 that will let you make a microwave omelette in about 3 minutes - or a scrambled concoction (SP?! LOL) of some sort.

There are a million other things you can add besides tomato. Be creative

This is where a little prep work goes a lonnnnnnnng way. While you're fixing dinner tonight, chop up some of those veggies & toss them into baggies. Then all you have to do in the morning is add it in. The work's already done. You can also pre-cook bacon in the microwave & keep it in the fridge.

It's really not that hard to get done & really doesn't take any more time.

          Microwaves...

One of the luxuries of home that we don't have here in Germany. We have a microwave, the the voltage is all wrong and it is new, so my hubby doesn't want to buy another one for here. I have to cook everything...even heating up leftovers....but it keeps me from nuking frankenfoods...so no complaints.

I will consider what veggies I can stomach in the morning and go from there.

I walk in the morning so more carbs then would probably help me out.

Simone, do you like raw mushrooms? a couple of those alongside your eggs might be nice and easy to munch.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Mornings are tough with me too.

So on weekends, I bake a crustless quiche. I cut off a wedge for breakfast during the week.

                  Great idea

Can you give me the recipe you use for the quiche...I think I will try that.

I am nto sure how many calories I should have. I am not trying to eat a certain amount, I am just eating to live....you know? Any body got any pointers?
