Yes, pickles are a go! I'm not sure if you typically use them in tuna fish salads, but the lowest-sodium, ordinary supermarket brand I have found so far (and it happens to be ultra-convenient since it's diced up!) is Mt. Olive Salad Dill Cubes. For each 1 T serving, there are only 140mg of sodium and 0g of total carbs. Of course, pickles contain carbs, but as with heavy cream, I always buy the brands that list 0g carbs per tablespoon rather than 1. It's a mental thing. lol

LOLOL....I hear ya on the mind thing! :yes

Ya know, now that you mention tuna, I haven't had it since I started induction almost 2 weeks ago! mmmmm....now it sounds sooo good! lol

I've been eating the pickle slices....I find they work awesome when rolled up with some cheese in a slice of chicken breast.

I haven't seen cubes in the stores....but, I'm in Canada so we may not have them here yet... (or maybe I'm just not paying attention which is quite possible ...haha)

            Re: Pickles?

Mount Olive also makes a splenda sweetened pickle too.

For all those who can't find pickles on their induction foods lists remeber if the ingredients in a food are on the list you can have it. vinegar and cucumbers plus spices are pickles.

                Re: Pickles?

I like the splenda sweetened mt olive pickles and always have them on hand. They give a little something extra to chicken salad or or anything else that needs a little more flavor.

Just remember, one serving of those Splenda sweetened pickles counts towards your 3 daily sweetener limits.
