  • canada day cake recipe! (can be induction friendly too!)

Hey I posted this in the cooking forum... but just wanted to post here too since more ppl look here I think..
so this is the version for ppl who aren't on induction.. I have also modified one for ppl who are on induction

so the cake is basically in the shape of a canadian flag.. I got the recipe form kraftscanada.. but they used pound cake instead.. but to make it atkins friendly I 'd use cheescake

So use ur fav. cheesecake recipe
then get some sugar free jello and mix it with cut up strawberries and let it set..
put this over the cheesecake and let it stand in the fridge for a while
Then beat some whip cream and add some splenda and spread it over the cake.. then decorate the cake with sliced strawberries to resemble teh canadian flag.. here is a link to the pic from the krafts canada site..

Ok, so if you are in induction adn want to make this.. I thought you could just you jello to make the flag design... just shape the jello in the shape of a maple leaf with a form or use a knife if u are creative.. but everything else should be ok.. jsut watch you portions (obvisouly don't include the strawberries in the jello!)

Hope you guys like it.. sorry that it isn't an exact recipe.. but I've never made it.. but jsut wanted to post the idea... u can tweek the recipe how you like.. the main thing is the design of the candian flag![img][/img]
