    hi, mine is a text book situation alot of blokes will understand
    get up start the day with the best of intentions, be good , but by hometime the daily grind of life want s to make you have a pizza and a beer.
    i think ww is a rip off (my wife go's there) i go to the shops and see all the nice cut jeans stop at 38" and are 6"too small.
    i did have the book but it was too big to understand and start reading from
    so id thought id get the best bits of the adicve from here and use that, result
    9lbs in first week,

      Do yourself a favour and read the book :yes It's an easy read, and if you're like me, you want this weight off ASAP, and educating yourself fully on what you are doing will only speed up the whole process.

      There's a lot of good info here and at other sites, but best to get the info from the source, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, version 2002, DANDR for short.

      The book also explains the 'why' behind the diet, which helps everything come together and make more sense why we are limited on certain foods.

        I agree, at first I just read chapter 11 because I was in a hurry to start...but when I went back and read the beginning it totally renewed my motivation and conviction I had for the diet...now whenever soemone tells me "Atkins is bad" I have the ammunition to make them feel like an idiot for not doing their research!
