are you losing inches? exercising? drinking water? carb creep? vitamins? frankenfoods? If you are doing everything as you should be and see no loss, I suggest moving on to OWL. Believe it or not, many many people have stalled for a long time and then moved on only to find their weightloss has kicked in again

I agree with Cranberry. What phase are you in? You're posting in the 14-day Induction, but you say you've been following the plan for "months". That would either put you in Extended Induction or OWL, so you'd probably get better answers to your questions in one of those forums. If you are still on Extended Induction after months, then definitely move to OWL. Especially with 26 pounds to go!!!!

PrincessLeah, I see you've only got 25lbs to go... have you thought about moving onto OWL? It s a common misconception to think that weightloss will slow or stop altogether, when the opposite is known to occur for most. I have read many Atkineers say that their weightloss started again once they've moved onto OWL, or even increase... so what about trying that?

If you are really worried about increasing your carb levels, there is also the option of doing a modified OWL.

I accidentaly posted in 14 day induction when I should have posted in extended induction. I am sorry! Yes, i can say I am scared to move to any other rung, other than induction fearing I may gain weight! Help!

Hey PrincessLeah, have a read of this inspiring post from an OWLer who said she lost faster on OWL - it's a great post by Reveal.

              Re: Stalled

My weightloss really slowed down during extended induction...basically to nothing (maybe 1 pound a month or so). I finally moved on to OWL last week and I lost 3 lbs. during that week. Maybe the extra 5 carbs of veggies will help you and not hurt you! I would suggest giving it try! I haven't heard of anybody hindering their weightloss by adding the 5 carbs of veggies. Just my 2 cents.

                Re: Stalled

I agree with Nikki. The thing that helped me move on to OWL was knowing that if I wanted to stay at rung 1 for a long time, I could. I was eating an average of 13g per day on Induction, so when I went to OWL, that only increased to 18. I felt "safe" since I was still under the 20g limit for induction. You can do OWL as slowly as you want to, so don't feel like you're hopping on a runaway train or anything.

This thinking on OWL is great. I wish I had known this a while ago. I was doigng induction but was scared to make the jump and had stalled.

This time I'm goign to do it it though.

Good for you burtonator. Take a good look at the stickies at the top of the OWL forum before you start, so as to get a feel for how to do it.
And do post any questions or doubts and worries in the OWL forum to get advice for all the experienced OWLers there.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
