  • I messed up! :(

    Today is day three of my atkins induction. I am positive that I hit ketosis yesterday because, besides the stick, the whole funny taste in the mouth thing occured. I was fine.. I didnt have any cravings until today I was watching a movie and the actor says "cereal". And without thinking, I just went and got a full bowl of cornflakes and covered it with oatmeal and sugar. CORNFLAKES. I am devastated because not only did I break it, it made me feel really sick!

    I really feel bad about this.. I had to vent.. maybe some of you understand how I feel right now. Did i just really sabotage a really good thing? smh.. I want to be back in ketosis.. having my extra fat metabolized. I weigh 145 lbs and I am 5'3.. 19 yrs old.. I began doing Billy's Boot Camp (tae bo workout) and it kicks butt .. I know its only 3 days but for some reason.. I feel really.. deflated about it..

    How do I bounce back..

    Your very next meal should be an Atkins one. Most people really mess up by thinking, "Well, I blew it, I might as well really pig out." Don't do that. Get right back on the wagon and carry on.

    Use this as a learning experience too. You know now that you have been programmed by tv commercials and other things to eat cereal whenever it's mentioned. So now, you will be more prepared the next time when you make the conscious decision to not immediately go to the cupboard and start munching whenever the product is mentioned. Also, removing those foods like cereal from your cupboards will help you out too.

      Yes Deffinatly , I Have Done This So Many Times I Can Understand Exactly How You Feel , Disapointment !
      But Dont Wait And Say Oh Ill Start Again Tommorow , Start Straight Away! The Next Meal Or Thing You Should Eat Should Be Your Induction Freindly Foods. Jump Straight Back On , Dont Waste Any More Time , And The Next Time You Fell Like This Just Think , A Bowl Of Cereal Or A Feeling Of Sucess And Accomplishment.

          Everybody has been there, well most everyone and those who haven't boy am I jealous! Anyway, you can do it .... No regrets just move on. Don't ever get the mindset "well, I just cheated this day is blown so I am going to have.....etc" I used to do that and I know that is why I have been battling the same 20lbs for the past 4 years!!!!!!!!! I am going to do it this time and I know you can too!!!!! Good Luck and before you decide to cheat next time just come be inspired by everyone's posts! AND remember how bad the cornflakes made you feel!!!!!

            Just jump back in and you'll be fine! It's a scary experience, but not the end of the world! You may not even go out of ketosis. If you do, you'll get back in after a day of less than 20 carbs.

            Eat a lot of fat and drink a lot of water!

              Yep there's been a few times I inadvertantly stuck a piece of bread in my mouth or started drinking a regular soda.
              You are only 3 days in so start over at day one.
              No big whoop.
