So before finding this forum I wasn't really doing a clean induction and was cheating a bit.
The other day I went and had Indian food and had two papadams (lentil crackers) which while they have little carbs they totally threw me out of ketosis.
Now I'm back on induction but doing a "clean induction" this time. The ketostix show that I'm in ketosis too! W00t!
This forums been great and here's what I've learned so far:
* Buy the book and read it! If you're serious about loosing weight then its
worth it!
* Don't do any shakes or bars. Stick with the acceptable foods list and have
'whole foods'.
* Stay away from sugar alcohols just in case.
* Only have fresh/whole foods.
* Avocado, OR cream. Not both!
* Lemon juice in food is ok as long as its less than two or three teaspoons.
This would include my mayo for my deviled eggs.
* Don't 'borrow' carbs from other meals to have something carb-rich at dinner
as it will increase my blood sugar level.
