The shakes/bars/etc are not great for induction.
Some people are ok with them and some aren't so it's best to stay away from them. It's ok to keep one around for an "emergency" like you get stuck in traffic and really need something to eat that's not a fast-food drive-thru.

And bear in mind that 'mother' has shareholders to satisfy and needs to sell 'product' to make money!!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

The best advice I can give is to eat from the acceptable foods list that is posted as a thread. At certain points in OWL rungs you can start adding some of those things in on the site. I think the site is looking to sell and not thinking about the negative impact it can have on those just starting out.

As stated above. The website is owned by a for-profit corporation. Even great things have an ugly side. Many "Atkins endorsed" foods in supermarkets have hydrogenated oils in them despite the fact Dr. Atkins made it clear to avoid trans-fats completely.
The people on this board have taken time to research and have tweeked the diet and topics like induction to maximize your benefit. I would go with the board on this one.Once you get out of your own way, you see, true victory is victory over one's self.
