  • question for women only

Hi! I tried to find the Women's Only board under the specialty boards sections but it has apparently been removed or something. Anyway if it's there I can't find it and I have a burning question that I really want to ask.

Today is my 7th day of induction. Lost at least 6 pounds already (yay!)
but I've also been feeling very sick and my period has decided to come early as well. One week early to be exact. Now this is really freaking me out because with the headaches, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness, constipation, and early spottiy period... it's making me think that the diet has caused my birth control pills to be less effective. I've already taken to home tests and they were both negative but I'm still having trouble relaxing since it might be too early to tell.

I was just hoping that is any of the ladies have experienced any thing like this you could share.
    thank you

a little bio 101 estrogen is produced and stored in body fat cells sooooooooooooooo when you lose weight by burning up the contents of your fat cells your estrogen levles go up. It should eventually level off but many many females experience what you are having.

Wowo induction flu with pre TOM you must be misreble.

thanks so much for the reply. I know... everyone keeps telling me that I'll be fine and I know that the chances are VERY small but I can't seem to shake the feeling that something has gone horribly wrong.

And yes induction flu at pre TOM and constantly being nervous that I'm pregnant and not being able to tell my boyfriend because I don't want him to worry too...I've made myself so much sicker!

Thank you soooo much though. It's so nice to hear that I'm not alone.

Ketosis can, in the beginning, do weird things to your hormone levels and make you get your period earlier or later. It does not, however, affect the birth control pill, as far as I know. You should be fine! It evens out after about a month!
