  • tandoori marinated in yogurt on induction?

OK. I know we're not supposed to eat yogurt on induction.

I just love tandoori chicken. Its the only thing I can really have at an indian restaurant.

Is there any way to eat it as long as its just marinated in yogurt?

The only reason we can't have it is because of the yeast right?

I'm sure its less than a tablespoon total of yogurt ...

I think you just answered your own question.

How clean of an induction do you want to do, Kevin?
Sure, it might only be a tbs of yogurt, but you have to be careful that you don't cultivate the attitude of 'It's only a little bit..what could it hurt?" and find that all these 'little bits' add up and up and up.

Do a good clean two week induction, so you can see exactly how fast or slow your metabolism is (page 158 of DANDR). More dairy isn't too far up the OWL rungs so you won't have to wait long unless you plan to stay in extended induction.

No actually thats not why, although you would think. Yogurt is pretty high in carbs It has about 17 per cup and so it's restricted until we get up the ladder. I wonder if you could substitute sour cream for the yogurt?

As Moochiecat said - yogurt is allowed on the Dairy rung of OWL, so only 4 weeks to wait till you can have it again if you move on to OWL after your 14 days of induction.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

well instead of getting it at the indian resturant buy some tandori spice mix and make your own usoing sour cream instead of yogurst then you are induction legal too.

We made tandoori chicken last week with sour cream substituted for the yoghurt. It was really good. The spices pretty much mask most of the flavour difference of sour cream vs yoghurt.
