Is there anyway that a person can be in ketosis and not lose weight?

      Re: Ketosis...

If you were eating too much fat or too much food in general it could happen.
So make sure you are only eating to satisfy your hunger - not eating so much it hurts!!

I think Dr Atkins did mention a lady who was in ketosis but not losing weight or inches because she was having a stick of butter as a nighttime snack!!

Although Atkins gives us the 'metabolic advantage' of being able to eat more calories than most other 'diets' it cant do the impossible.

So if someone eats for example the same amount of food when they have lost 100 pounds as they did when they started induction they would probably not lose anything.

Many of us (former) heavyweights forget to decrease our food input according to our current body size and have to consciously cut down our quantities as we get smaller.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

This has also happened to me. However, I was loosing inches. Since clothes go by inches and not pounds it still made me happy.

Rhonda, Did you take measurements to compare with? That is has always been my saviour. When I first lost before (since Im not using the scales this time just yet), I would stay the same on the scale for 3 weeks sometimes even more then over the course of a few mornings I would suddenly go down 6-7#. The whooshes were great but the in between times really got to me. If it wasnt for my measuring tape I probably would have given up.
