  • Starting Induction for the Last time!

I feel horrible, and I have decided to get back on PLAN for good. I have realized that those chocolate chip cookies have held me back for too long. I feel so uncomfortable in my own skin, I hate to go out in Public places, and I HATE the way my clothing fit. Does that sound like enough to get back on PLAN and stay there? Have a nice day and I will keep you all posted. Anyone starting over for the ??? time? All advice is welcomed! Even the advice that I know of.....

Welcome back aboard the Atkins wagon

Have you discovered the 'Second Time Around' forum yet?
It is a new very active forum specially set up for people like you who have Atkineered in the past and need extra support from people in the same situation in sticking to the programme for good.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Starting Induction for the Last time!

      Hi godsbeloved79!

I'm in the same boat. I've started several times in the past and found out later I was doing it wrong. Then I did my first "clean" Induction and it worked so much better! Anyway, I'm back starting over for the ??? time too.

How about posting a daily journal in the "journaling" section so we all can get to know you better. (I try to post there at least once a day to keep myself motivated.)

I've also printed out the sticky posts at the top of some of the boards so that dh & I can read one a night to help us learn new things about this WOE.

I know you can do this! There are so many success stories on this board. You're sure to find one that will inspire you.

If you want to chat, you can PM me. I'm here off and on (breakfast, on my breaks @ work, & supper).

Just think...if you start today, by this time next week you'll already be thinner and your clothes will fit better!

      Go girl!

Re: Starting Induction for the Last time!

When I first started here someone (I wish I could remember who!!) had in their signature line
"A year from now you'll wish you had started today"

and that really spoke volumes to me. Many many times I had thought along the lines of 'ok, the reunion/wedding/birthday party/whatever is in August and it's January now, so if I start dieting and exercising, I'll look so much better by then!' and then August rolled around and I hadn't done a darn thing.

Now I frequently look in my journal and my pictures and see what I was like this time last year...it's the coolest thing and one of those things that keeps me on track.

I like that quote, Moochiecat. I hope you don't mind if I use it in my signature line. It will help remind me.

                (((godsbeloved)))

Nope...you're not alone. I'd tell you what number of time this is for me starting over, but I think I lost track along the way. So, lets just start over..you're in good company of those who are beginning, again.

The picture idea from Moochiecat is a great idea and influence to keep going. Keep a personal journal of pictures and what transformation happen. It's amazing. I wish I had seen that siggy info too...I would have started a year ago strong instead of weaking and giving up on myself.

What made me decide I had enough?---ripping a pair of shorts that were too big for me last summer. Yep, that'll do it for almost anyone, except...it was my last pair of shorts that I liked. That's why I hope to get back into my 16's BEFORE summer's out, but I do have faith that sticking to this WOE with companions and confidants the pounds will shed off like a dog looses its fur in the summer time (Dr. A).

                Hang in there!

Re: Starting Induction for the Last time!

Hello. I'm starting over again too. It's been three years since I did this the last time and lost 15 pounds. I'm heavier now than ever before and am feeling very unhealthy. Also, I'm simply tired of being the fat spouse!

My husband and I are both doing induction and I'm have the determination to get through it this time. Thanks for the support everyone.

Hey! I've been lurking around this thread....
I started a couple times and realized that I was doing things wrong so it always discouraged me and I would stop. Now I'm back on track, it's rough for me getting through day 1 b\c of the major headaches that I get. But I cant put it off forever! Today is day 1 on induction, only 5 more hours until bed time and i've MADE IT!!!!

Moochiecat, I also have to steal that quote!!! I read your post and that quote is exactly how I feel every morning. Finally realizing...I gotta start sometime! It's not gonna fall off on it's own!
