  • Should I be doing Aerobics?

    I am exercising but I haven't been doing my aerobics.

    They aren't THAT bad but I just get bored easy.

    I'm doing weight lifting and usually my routine is 1.5 hours.

    I'm wondering if I should just bite the bullet and go for a full two hours and add an aerobic component.

    Well, yeah, you need to do the cardio. At least 30 min a day. Gets your heart healthy, increases metabolism, etc etc.

      Speaking from experience of many people, My opinion is that you are already working out to much, or I should say, to long a period of time.

      Cardio is the king of fat burning. I would cut the weight lifting down to 45-60 minutes. Do a higher intensity, and stay away from all those machines. You only need a few machines really to get the job done, and the rest on free weights. Be sure to split your cardio and weight days up. 2-3 days splits

      You can do cardio on weight training days, but limit it to 15-20 minutes, because that is not your focus for the day...especially if you are on leg days.

      Remember, you are in weight loss mode, not muscle building mode. Although you can build a good core muscle base while losing weight, the real idea is to keep or increase your strength while shedding the Fat. Atkins is the best route to do that exact thing

        You should absolutely incorporate cardiovascular activity into your fitness regime, as it will almost certainly enhance your results. When I have full-body resistance training, I do close to an hour of it on the same day as my cardio (always 30 minutes of treadmill - brisk walking only; I have and will never run). I do resistance first to get it out of the way, and this makes the cardio a breeze!

          cardio is SO important to a healthy lifestyle and weight loss. Maybe cut down on the weight lifting a bit and try to incorporate some cardio. If you don't like aerobics, try walking, or put on some music and dance, anything that gets your heart rate up
