    New to induction

    Hello everyone-

This is my 6th day of induction and I have to say I feel like I have more energy already!!

I noticed that I'm peeing a lot more since I started, but drinking the same amount of water. Is this normal?

    Thanks -

Atkins/Induction is a diuretic.. causes you to lose water weight first

The fact that you are peeing more despite drinking the same amount of water as you did the first couple of days means that your system is allowing the water to be eliminated. When you start losing fat, the fat cells fill up with water and the body holds onto it for awhile - sort of a survival instinct thing. Then it (eventually) decides to let go, and you start..peeing!!!!!

Good job! Your energy will increase and I hope by now you are feeling a great sense of well-being, which is my absolutely favorite part of Atkins!

Peeing more is a good thing, it means your body is flushing it out a lot quicker.

Good luck to you on your atkins journey!

OneNotchDown, my guess is that you are losing some water weight. This is typical of the beginning of the program.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling so wonderful. Trust me, it only gets better.
