  • fat/carbs/protein ratio?? meal plan review??

hi, i know i've seen it somewhere but for the life of my can't find the ratio of fat/ carbs/ protein to follow during induction... also, coming straight from a low cal diet, i'm a little nervous about the 2000 i consumed today... i'm ok?? i'm going to add my meal plan from today and maybe i can get some feedback from seasoned pros!? thanks so much...

brekkie - skipped (i know, i know but i don't like bacon or eggs very much)
lunch - fried eggs and 4 breakfast sausages
supper - beef frajolaki with no bun, caesar salad, no croutons
snack - 2 big celery sticks with mayo and an oz of sliced cheddar
p.s. what about alcohol... is rum and crystal light going to cut it for this diet 'cause already no beer sucks!! it's summer, haha!!

    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs.

It's ok to go higher on the fat and lower on the protein by a few percentage points. Sometimes people find they lose faster with more fat at the beginning.

No to the Rum for now. Do you have a copy of the book? It is pretty specific about induction. Alcohol is out until OWL and then in moderation. Before I started, I don't know how long it had been since I had gone two days without at least one beer. I have been going for over a month now, and it is now problem. Water water water!

www.fitday.com can help you see where you're at, and here's a link to a sticky to help you out with that.

Definitely read the book, Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short) and you'll learn the 'why' behind the diet.

Also, breakfast is not limited to bacon and eggs. Have a tuna salad, have a leftover pork chop and veggies from the night before, the sky is the limit when it comes to what you choose to breakfast on.
And yes, skipping a meal is bad, especially breakfast. Having something to eat in the morning gives your metabolism a jump start to burning fat and as the book will explain to you, it keeps your blood sugars level...very important!
