Re: pop ice
look at all the ingredients and if they are a part of your induction aceptable foods lists foods then you can. remember induction is a time to kick your sweets habits and learn to eat real food to feed your hunger not new low carb junk foods to replace the old high carb ones.

Re: pop ice
You can put a piece of lemon or cucumber in your water if you want to switch it up a bit and still have it count as water. Or you can make decaf herbal tea and drink that...but remember that only water counts as water.
Iced decaf coffee is really good as well. Be mindful of your 3 sweetener limit a day though if you are indulging in these drinks.

Re: pop ice
If it is sweetened with splenda and all of its listed ingredients are allowed (no fruit juice etc) then it is allowed BUT you are only allowed a total of 3 servings of sweetener each day. Therefore you need to look on the bottle/can to see how many servings it says it contains to see how much of the bottle you are allowed in one day.
Another BUT to consider - many of us find it better to stop using sweetener - even splenda - to starve that sugarmonster and make sweet cravings go away during induction. Eat a highfat snack instead of succumbing to sweet cravings and your body will thank you further along the Atkins journey and you will no longer need 'artificial sugary treats'.
Also - only plain water counts as part of your quota of water - any sweetened drinks must not be counted but be treated as extras.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: pop ice
That Mr Freeze also contains 1.3 g of sugar alcohols as well as the smaller amount of splenda (sucralose).
Before you decide to eat the sorbitol (SA) take a look at the two FAQs on sugar alcohols to make your decision and decide if you are going to count those self-styled 'non-impact carbs' or not.

Oh - and be close to a toilet in case the SA rushes through your system!!Last edited by Elizellen; August 17, 2005, 11:48 AM.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
