  • Flu

    Starting day 3 - yesterday the flu hit me about 1:00 in the afternoon. I was doing fine and then the headache hit, stomach quezy and had a hard time swallowing the water. Thank goodness I own a business because I was home in bed by 3:00. I slept the day away. Yes I know it is pathetic but at least my family didn't have to put up with me.
    So I am still feeling like I have the flu abit but I did step on the scale and I was down 3 pounds. From my past experiences if I can make it through today then I will be feeling fine and the rest is a piece of cake.
    Please say a prayer for me - I will be attending the Iowa Stae Fair this weekend - I will need all the help I can get.

      You're going to make it through the flu. You should start feeling more energy now. After I made it through my first few days, I started feeling so much better. As far as the fair....it is tough, but you can do it. There are things at the fair you can have. They always have some type of meat on a stick. Make sure you eat before you go if you can. Sometimes when I am going to be somewhere that I know is serving up the foods not on our list, I carry a small photo of me in my present big stage and that shocks me back into staying on track. I can say, I have not cheated at all. I have been on induction now for 17 days now. Good luck, you can do this! Here is a to keep you strong.

            Thanks for the feed back - I am nervious about the fair. My husband is really being a sweetheart so I know he will try and steer me away from the FUNNEL CAKES!!! LOL

              Stay strong! You can do it. Hope the flu passes soon...mine just lasted 4 long painful days. I am now on day 7 and it is gone. Be good at the fair!
